Qingtahu Reservoir Dam
The reservoir was designed by the former Qingta Reservoir Construction Command of Shexian Revolutionary Committee, approved by Hebei Water Conservancy Bureau, and started construction in July 1970. The headquarters began to mobilize nearly 3,000 laborers from five beneficiary communes, and more than 100 technicians from non-beneficiary areas. According to the militarized organization, the commune is the camp, the village is the company, and the production team records the work. At the end of the year, it participates in the team’s dividend and subsidizes the living expenses of 0.15 yuan per day, and the non-beneficiary areas daily 0.4 yuan. During the construction period, due to lack of funds, all migrant workers returned to their hometowns. It was not until they were included in the national infrastructure plan in 1974 that the construction was resumed, and more than 4,000 migrant workers entered the construction peak. After eight years of hard work, it was basically completed in mid-September 1977. A total of 414,270 cubic meters of engineering work was completed, with 3.84 million man-days, an investment of 8.665 million yuan, 23,000 tons of cement, 200 tons of steel and 230 cubic meters of wood. From February 2003 to July 2004, the reservoir was reinforced.
