The world’s first new generation dual-fuel engine 7X62DF-2.1 with intelligent control exhaust gas recirculation (iCER) system was completed and delivered in Shanghai yesterday.
(Reporter Zhang Yi correspondent He Baoxin Xu Zhaogang) The world’s first new-generation dual-fuel host 7X62DF-2.1 with intelligent control exhaust gas recirculation (iCER) system was completed and delivered in Shanghai yesterday. The system was successfully developed by CSIC Power (Group) Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of China Shipbuilding Group, which not only enriched the model spectrum of China’s dual-fuel main engine and enhanced the market competitiveness, but also marked that China maintained a new advantage and achieved a new leap in the research and development of marine low-speed dual-fuel engines after the world’s largest dual-fuel low-speed engine X92DF.
This dual-fuel main engine was completed and delivered in Shanghai CSSC Mitsui Shipbuilding Diesel Engine Co., Ltd., located in Lingang New Area. It is equipped with the iCER system developed by WinGD Company, a subsidiary of China Shipbuilding Group, with a maximum continuous power of 15,400 kilowatts. It will be used as the main propulsion device and installed on the 7000-car liquefied natural gas (LNG) dual-fuel vehicle carrier (PCTC) built by China Merchants Jinling Shipyard for Japanese NYK shipowners.
It is understood that the biggest advantage of iCER system is that it can automatically track and dynamically adjust the ratio of air and gas through a specific algorithm, so that methane escape in gas mode can be reduced by 50%, and greenhouse gas emissions can be reduced by more than 28%. Its successful installation and application provide a new practice and case for further reducing the greenhouse gas emissions of marine engines. Under the general trend of environmental protection and low carbon, it is expected to become a new host favored by the market. The dual-fuel main engine with iCER system can be installed not only on large automobile carriers, but also on large LNG carriers and super-large container ships. At present, there are more than 60 orders for engines equipped with iCER system in China Shipbuilding Power Group.
It is worth mentioning that the completion and delivery of the project has left new achievements for the Shanghai shipbuilding industry to overcome difficulties and fight the epidemic. Since the assembly of the project started in February this year, personnel arrangement and material transportation once encountered many difficulties due to the epidemic situation. However, the core personnel of the project team insisted on being stationed at the production site, and Qi Xin worked together to overcome one problem after another. In the whole manufacturing process, CSIC Mitsui is closely linked from marketing to manufacturing, from design technical preparation to supporting resource integration, from equipment support to production plan implementation.
After taking the lead in resuming work in early May, CSSC Mitsui paid attention to epidemic prevention and control, the whole machine test, the all-night journey and lean management, showing professionalism, professionalism and professionalism everywhere. They actively coordinate with all suppliers to ensure the complete supply of iCER system, water treatment system and remote control system; At the same time, closely cooperate with various service providers to ensure the performance debugging of the host under various working conditions. In addition, CSSC Mitsui also took the initiative to contact and ensure that representatives of shipowners, classification societies and shipyards were stationed in advance to participate in verification, testing and delivery in depth.
According to reports, at present, the cadres and workers of CSSC are United as one, coordinating the prevention and control of the epidemic situation and resuming production, insisting on the same goal, undiminished tasks and unremitting efforts, and striving to regain the progress of the epidemic. In the next step, we will continue to devote ourselves to independently developing more technologically advanced and environmentally friendly marine power equipment, so as to provide strong impetus for China ships to build China into a shipbuilding power and a maritime power.
