To this end, some consumers will not hesitate to spend 10494 yuan to buy 106 packages at one time; There are also consumers who buy the "substitute food" service for "begging for a baby", hire someone to buy the set meal for them and get a blind box, and even do not rule out throwing away the food that can’t be eaten directly.
China Consumers Association said that in commodity sales, fancy promotion methods such as buying gifts, points, discounts and red envelopes emerged one after another. As long as it is reasonable and legal, the normal profit-making promotion not only increases the sales volume of the merchants, but also benefits the consumers, which is understandable. However, KFC, as a catering enterprise, deals in fast food for limited use, which is characterized by instant consumption on demand. Usually, consumers will not over-purchase, while the sale of limited-edition blind boxes is a means of "hunger marketing" to stimulate consumption, which easily leads consumers to impulse consumption in order to obtain limited-edition blind boxes, and leads to unnecessary food waste due to over-purchase. KFC, as a food operator, uses limited blind box sales to induce and condone consumers to buy food packages irrationally, which is contrary to public order and good customs and the spirit of law.
