Recently, the anti-fraud center of our city found that a fraud gang pretended to be a customer service staff in JD.COM to contact users by telephone, so that users could close JD.COM gold bars, white bars, micro loans, third-party deductions and other related financial software. Failure to close them in time would affect personal credit reporting as a gimmick. In the communication process, users were required to pay attention to the official WeChat official account of Tianjin Branch of China People’s Bank, and guide users to send counterfeit official customer service links or QR codes such as "Tianjin Branch of China People’s Bank" to the WeChat official account and click Open. Some users mistakenly thought that the fraudulent link was it.
The anti-fraud center reminds everyone to keep their eyes open and carefully screen to avoid financial losses.
The following are real cases of deception in our city.
In this case, it is an alias.
Real case
Xiaoxue received a call from a self-proclaimed customer service worker in JD.COM, and the other party asked him to close the quota of various financial loan apps under his name, otherwise it would affect his personal credit information.
The staff member is actually a fraud gang!
Xiaoxue downloaded the conference software through the website provided by the other party, and made voice calls and screen sharing according to the instructions of the other party. Subsequently, the other party asked Xiaoxue to use WeChat to search for "China People’s Bank Tianjin Branch" WeChat official account, and sent the text of "I applied to close JD.COM gold bars and white bars and cancel the third-party related account, 2406578.top" to the WeChat official account.
This link was sent to WeChat official account by the user himself. This combination link with numbers followed by letters is a fraudulent link established by fraudsters privately! The external website that the link points to has nothing to do with WeChat official account, but is the website of the false People’s Bank Credit Information Center (phishing website).
Xiaoxue clicked on this website and went to an external website called "Tianjin Branch of China People’s Bank" (a phishing website sent by scammers). Xiaoxue entered the bank account number and password, and according to the customer service instructions, Xiaoxue turned on screen sharing and checked the liabilities of all the bank cards under his name, and then transferred the money in all the bank cards under his name to a bank card (the whole screen was shared during the operation, which was equivalent to recording the screen, and the scammers saw the bank account, password and verification code). At this point, Xiaoxue’s bank card information has all been known by fraudsters, who have transferred 500,000 yuan to Xiaoxue’s bank account in two operations.
This external website is not "China People’s Bank Tianjin Branch". If the other party asks you to transfer money, please don’t trust the other party!
The official website is: http://tianjin.pbc.gov.cn/
Common routines
1. Packaging identity
The swindler helped the victim to close the business by changing the number software to "official telephone number" and calling himself "JD.COM White Bar" and "JD.COM Gold Bar" to gain the trust of the victim.
Step 2 explore step by step
Liars pretend to be "official customer service" and report personal information such as the victim’s name and ID card. At the same time, they will lure the victim to operate with words such as "not closing will affect personal credit information".
3. Screen sharing
In the name of "helping to close the white bars and gold bars in JD.COM", the swindler asked him to download the conference software and open the screen sharing to instruct the victim to operate. (Screen sharing is equivalent to screen recording, and the liar will see the victim’s bank account number, password and verification code)
4. Phishing websites
Through screen sharing, the scammer knows whether the victim’s mobile phone is equipped with a browser that can identify fraud, and then asks the victim to search for "China People’s Bank Tianjin Branch. com" WeChat official account on the mobile phone WeChat, and sends a link to the WeChat official account to close the JD.COM White Bar (gold bar)+the URL sent by the scammer through conference software. (For example: "I apply to close the illegal loan under my name, JD.COM white bars and gold bars, and cancel the third-party associated account 2406578.top" or "I apply to connect with online customer service, banking system and credit information center online service 2406578.top").
Although many people know that unfamiliar links should not be clicked, after the scammer asked the victim to carry out the so-called "authentication" on the official website, the victim believed it and clicked on the fake website prepared by the scammer to log in and inquire.
Step 5 create an atmosphere
Although many people know that bank accounts, passwords, verification codes, etc. can’t be told to others, they ignore that the other party can directly see the bank passwords and verification codes through screen sharing. In this process, the other party keeps urging the victim to finish the operation quickly, which will easily make you feel scared and nervous.
6. Psychological suggestion
The scammer never mentions sensitive words such as "remittance", "transfer" and "online loan". Sometimes, the victim will be repeatedly logged into the bank account, making the victim mistakenly think that he is self-incriminating.
7. Prevent reminders
Even scammers will monitor the recording in the name of "China People’s Bank", so that the victim can start call forwarding and transfer the incoming call to an empty number or the scammer’s mobile phone number, so that the victim can’t be called in by the platform, the bank and the police in time to prevent others from interrupting their scam.
8. Complete the fraud
Using "screen sharing", the scammer has taken a glance at the victim’s funds and loanable conditions, and at the same time logged into the victim’s bank card account and loan account at the other end and transferred the money away.
All those who claim that "JD.COM Customer Service" asked you to transfer money.
It’s all fraud! ! !
Please note:
The first is to verify official website certification in time.
China People’s Bank and JD.COM Customer Service Phone will not make outgoing calls on their own initiative. Be vigilant when receiving such calls, and don’t disclose personal information easily; If you have any questions, you can directly call the official customer service phone of the platform for verification.
Second, resolutely refuse to close or cancel the account on the grounds of affecting personal credit information.
Personal credit information is managed by the People’s Bank of China, and no one has the right to delete or modify it.
The third is to respond cautiously to the request to add friends’ screen sharing
Adding a friend sharing screen is a fixed routine of false credit fraud. Don’t easily download video chat or screen sharing software to chat with strangers, and don’t operate bank accounts in the sharing screen to prevent personal information from leaking.
Fourth, don’t click on unfamiliar links or scan unfamiliar QR codes.
Don’t click on the so-called official website link or QR code authorized by the official (China People’s Bank Tianjin Branch or other relevant units such as the People’s Bank of China WeChat official account) or sent by the other party, especially the "number+letter" combination link sent by the other party, which must be a fraudulent link established by fraudsters privately. Don’t click! .
The festival is approaching.
Let’s unite the police and the people.
Protect property safety together.
Welcome the auspicious happy year safely!
