Wang Yong, State Councilor and Commander-in-Chief of the State Flood Control and Drought Relief Headquarters, recently investigated flood control work in Heilongjiang and presided over a conference on flood control and drought relief work in Songliao Basin. Wang Yong successively came to the dike site of Xinnong Xinfa section of the main stream of Songhua River in Harbin, the central flood control and drought relief material storage, the urban dike project, the Heihe Kalun landscape station, flood control facilities and dike project to inspect the flood control preparations on the spot. Strengthen river flood prevention and scientific dispatching of key reservoirs, focusing on small and medium-sized rivers, small reservoirs and mountain torrents, and comprehensively investigate potential risks. Encrypt patrol protection, preset rescue forces in advance, respond quickly to disposal in case of danger and disaster, and organize the masses to transfer risks and resettle and rescue in time.
